Virtual Sunset

From the 9th of February, 2013, until the 20th of March, 2013–the day of global equinox–INDUSTRY will exhibit Virtual Sunset, a globally connected live installation, exploring the ephemeral notion of the sunset as an everlasting continuous global event and its equivalent in our ever expanding networked environment.

The Invisible Human

From the 9th of February, 2013, for 40 days and nights, The Invisible Human, a collaboration between Tobias Klein and ordinary Ltd., takes the data imprint of a human body digitally “sectioned” through magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and turns it into a template on which crystals are interactively grown. Contained within a supersaturated solution, the body section plates are given shape through an interactive crystallization process that echos those occuring in the body as it dies. As one phase turns into the next, the space continuously changes, oscillating between life and death.
